About Andrew Cooper

Wood

Andrew is a fully qualified and experienced carpenter and joiner with a degree in furniture design. He approaches his clients’ work with the technical knowledge and attention to detail needed to ensure whatever we make is fit for purpose, looks good and finished to a high level.

Andrew studied at Salisbury College, where he gained an Advanced Craft City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery. He spent over a decade working, firstly, in a small traditional joinery firm concentrating on period and modern joinery and restoration, then commercially in the shop-fitting industry. Andrew worked on projects for well-known and high-profile clients with exacting demands in terms of quality and speed of delivery.

Andrew has always been passionate about designing, as well as making things, so after 13 years as a joiner he felt that he needed a new challenge. Andrew studied for and gained a degree in Furniture Design and Technology at London Guildhall University.

Since then Andrew has been working for himself in both London and the South East on a wide range of joinery and design projects.

Andrew has been based in West Sussex since 2006, where he set up Andrew Cooper Joinery. He operates from a workshop in Ferring, near Worthing.
